Download new Notice of Race (german only) here:
Downoad Sailing Instructions (german only) here:
We sail on Sunbeam 22.1 with a crew of 4 people.
Continue to organize your teams and start training – there is not much time left! The boats are delivered on 2 September and you can train as of this day in the afternoon.
Send your registration through email to regatta@boats2sail.com with the following information: team name (VISC + some add on), names of the crew, team manager (focal point for the organizer), Skipper (the responsible person on the boat during a race).
Please note: you can also register as a single sailor and also if you have only time on Saturday or Sunday -> so called Wildcard Teams will then be put together by the organizer!
Regarding Training:
Also this year the club is supporting the racing teams with a premium membership with Boats2Sail, meaning that you can charter boats on Neusiedlersee with a discount of 40% for training with the intention to participate at this race event. And we just agreed with B2S that we can train with premium conditions also on the Alte Donau!
To make use of it and get the discount, reserve a boat for training under the same email regatta@boats2sail.com and cc to visc.logkeeper@gmail.com. We will then confirm with B2S. An active and confirmed VISC membership for 2020 with registration form and payment received is a precondition.
You also find some general information about this race format, and how it went in 2018 and 2019 on our Racing page: https://visc.at/racing/
I am looking forward to a great, fair and exciting competition together with you!
Rock and Role (when wind is low) 😉
Your Logkeeper, Andreas Wippel
