One of the favourite events of the VISC programme: The Lake Balaton Cruise weekend
The Lake Balaton Cruise weekend from September 27 to 29, 2024, is one of the favorite events of the VISC program. It is the most beautiful mix of great sailing, nice food and brilliant wine quite close to Vienna. Get ready!
Programme and logistics:
Car-pooling, room sharing on land in hotel or Bed & Breakfast
Friday: leave from the VIC after work, arrive at Lake Balaton, dinner
Saturday: full day sailing, dinner and wine-tasting
Sunday: full day sailing, return to Vienna by approx. 8pm
Estimated cost per person: 350 – 400 Euros
Minimum 8, up to 20 participants / Beginners welcome!

Guests (non-members) are welcome to join; please transfer an additional guest fee of EUR 5
